Back after a fairly long hiatus!
Our express entry profile had expired in July of 2021. For various unreasonable reasons, I sat idle till now!
On December 6, 2021, I resubmitted my express entry profile. Because of my age, our overall CRS score took a 5 point hit from the day I had submitted the first time.
There are two points that I would like to highlight from the application which I don't think were brought up when I submitted the first time around.
- Under "Immigration history and citizenships" section, there is a question:
Has <applicant name> applied to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada before?
I was confused about whether a profile constitutes as an "application"? No, as it turns out. Please refer to the source (official IRCC tweet!) - a quick screenshot in case the link deactivates.
- Under "Education History", for field of study, there is no option for engineering. Heeding to the advice on various online forums and my educated guess, I selected Applied Sciences.
